Trooper, Chaser or Responder

8/2/2021 (Permalink)

SERVPRO Heroes respond nationally to storm events to assist in recovery and cleanup.

Storm Troopers, Chasers and Responders.

Weather is awesome!

When you think of the word storm, how do you think about it? What visuals come to mind?

Maybe you think of Star Wars and the Stormtroopers, who for all intents and purposes are bad guys.

How about storm chasers, the adrenalin junkies whose vehicles are decked in expensive gear with the sole purpose to place themselves smack in the middle of a super cell. The kind of storms that pulled Dorothy and Toto out of Kansa and pushed them through the portal to Oz?

Isn’t interesting that the word storm is used in multiple contexts? The word is even used as a mascot for sports teams.

It has a very wide range of use for sure. But for the most part, storm as in weather patterns and events is the most fascinating of all. They impact just about every corner of the world.

Although destructive, the natural beauty, power and sheer size of storms are something to stand in awe of.

From the air, land and water storms can form in various fashions which is why they’re so interesting. There are never two storms alike, even though the makeup may be similar.

How they start, travel and stop is just amazing.

Weather is awesome but let’s chat about what’s really awesome. The people who respond to storm events.

There are multiple thousands of people across the country who respond to locations affected by large storms. These teams of people work tirelessly to aid those in peril. From civic organizations, volunteer groups like the Red Cross to small and large companies.

SERVPRO Franchises respond and dispatch crews to large storm events across the United States of America. We're always ready to help.

We haul millions of dollars in resources to help communities recover post event and we’re grateful to be a part of the restoration and recovery of communities nationwide.

We are Storm Responders, the good guys in every community we show up in.
