Water, Water, Everywhere, Nor Any Drop to Drink.

You may think the title is a bit weird for a disaster cleanup and restoration company blog. And for the most part you are correct.
But let me ask you, does the title of this article ring a bell? Does it bring back a bit of gleeful nostalgia? Well, either way it’s from an old English poem written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
In the poem the ship was driven by a strong storm towards the South Pole, from there she made her course to the tropics of the Great Pacific Ocean while finally docking back at port in her own country.
Commercial property restoration carries a similar journey and in Salem, Oregon or team is filled with captains, crew members and administration. Should a commercial property experience an unexpected burst pipe or other event which causes water to enter the building, we go to work immediately.
It’s interesting to us to see the disaster restoration industry grow, change and evolve over the years but some how we end up back at port, the basics. We’re able to bring a property back to preloss condition by following standards.
- A clear scope of work.
- Plan and strategy following a charted course.
- Fully trained crew members consisting of a crew chief, and technicians.
In June of 2021, we had a commercial client call us because an exterior water main burst. The water pressure from the burst pipe was able to force mud into the school building that affected 24,000 square feet of floor space.
By the time we showed up, water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink.
By the time we left, the building was cleaned and sanitized, making it "Like it never even happened."
