Dependability, it’s what SERVPRO is all about!

Let’s go over a few important reasons why dependability is so paramount in the restoration industry.
“Time.” Time is one aspect of dependability that is hugely important. Being on time and responding quickly is of utmost importance. The quicker we get to the site, the less damage the customer will have. The less damage the customer has, the better and smoother the job will go. Time is extremely important, and we are known as the company that is “Faster to any disaster” for a reason.
“People.” Being dependable is what puts our customers at ease, and communicates to the customer how much respect we have for their time and the job. Making our customers happy with our customer service is always forefront in our mind. Safety is always number one, if we aren’t safe we aren’t able to care for ourselves much less our customers.
As a disaster restoration company, being dependable when responding to a loss at a persons home or a persons business is extremely important. We need to show up, and go to work at once. Time is money for our franchise, and as our franchise is a small locally owned and operated business out of Salem, we care very much about the entire customer service experience.
If a customer cannot depend on their restoration company, they are not going to feel comfortable inviting that company into their home or business, and will question each step that the company makes along the way, this of course impedes the overall productivity and smoothness of the job at hand. It’s best to make a strong first impression and continue to impress along the way as the job progresses, because that way you will have a better chance of the customer trusting you to do what you need to without questioning each decision you make.
Dependability is an essential element to being a SERVPRO Team member, being dependable does not just mean that you are always on time, because sometimes you will not be on time. That’s ok, if you called and gave the customer a heads up that you are running late, that still shows dependability and good communication. Practice showing up and proving each day that you are someone a customer can rely on. If you do that day in and day out, you will have far superior results at the end of each job you oversee.
