Water Loss at Large Salem, Oregon Business

Commercial Water Damage Doesn't have to put you out of business
Any sort of water or fire loss can adversely affect your business continuity. How quickly can you get back to business after a loss like that?
Planning ahead and creating an emergency plan will increase the odds of keeping the doors open. The following are some measures to consider in developing an emergency plan:
- Develop a business continuity plan by determining what is critical to survive and recover. What staff, materials and equipment are absolutely necessary to keep the business running.
- Understand your insurance coverage. Have a discussion with your insurance agent about coverages, loss of wages. When, not if, a loss occurs you don’t want any surprises and your agent really does want to make sure you’re covered the way you want.
- Prepare an emergency plan, document it and train your staff.
- Secure your facility and equipment. Know where the exits are, where fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and detectors are located. Does your facility have an AED? Who has been trained to operate it?
- Who are your preferred vendors? Do you have a plumber or electrician you prefer to work with? Have you shared that with your staff?
